Anyway…

Sometime this week, I woke up wondering about a statement in a YouTube video (sadly, I cannot remember anymore what this is): we do not know π^π. Given my mathematical illiteracy, of course I agree; it led to “what is 2π, or π+π?”. Just like the lady in the first video, I mentally computed the sum from left to right, kinda feeling smug that we might not know the end but we can at least know it up to N digits. This persisted for about 5 minutes. Either my comp sci training kicked in or my brain’s just finished warming up, I tested the idea on smaller numbers. I remember doing “2.50 + 2.50 = 4.11”, and of course that’s dumb. Which led to the realisation that you add from right to left.

Amusing, amirite?
