This bird is found pretty much everywhere in the Philippines: wild, domesticated, feral. I kind of want to care for such a bird.

Fun trivia: in Filipino, there exists an idiom kalapating mababa ang lipad. It literally translates to “low-flying dove”, and can be used as a euphemism for prostitute. There’s even a song using it as such.
