This is among my very first bird videos.

Fun fact: this is the original national bird of the Philippines, until dethroned by the Philippine eagle on 4 July 1995 by Proclamation No. 615 signed by then-president Fidel V. Ramos. Confusingly, most Filipinos associate the word “maya” with the Eurasian tree sparrow, which is an introduced species.
